I-RECs Expert (f/m/d)

We are seeking an I-RECs Expert to join our Markets team. Are you eager to learn and contribute to our mission for a more sustainable future?

GO2 Markets connects buyers and sellers worldwide to facilitate the trading of environmental products and provides advisory services to help organizations develop and implement sustainability strategies.

As our I-RECs Expert, you will play a key role in supporting the build-out of an in-house origination desk. You will help source I-REC supply directly from project developers and owners, convert supply into tradeable lots, and collaborate closely with trading, sales, and legal teams to maximize commercial outcomes

This is a full-time, Berlin-based position, available for an immediate start

Your Mission
Drive I-REC origination by registering and onboarding renewable energy projects, managing registry processes, and delivering opportunities to the trading team.

• Source and onboard renewable energy projects and assets, ensuring accurate documentation, metering data, and registry compliance.

• Engage project owners and registrants across EMEA, South East Asia, and South America.

• Lead commercial discussions and negotiations, capturing key terms and preparing agreements.

• Close transactions and manage accounts with project developers and asset owners, achieving commercial and operational goals.

• Structure offtake terms and coordinate reviews with trading, legal, and operations teams.

• Manage certificate issuance workflows, tracking submissions, timelines, and certificate creation.

• Onboard suppliers to internal platforms for certificate management, commercial execution, and reporting.

• Maintain partner relationships and updated records to support pipeline visibility and delivery.

What You Will Bring

• 3+ years of experience in sales, account management, or origination, focused on I-REC projects or renewable energy certificates.

• Experience engaging project owners, registrants, and aggregators across multiple regions.

• Proven ability to support commercial negotiations and coordinate with trading, legal, and operations teams.

• Familiarity with I-REC registration, issuance processes, and certificate tracking.

• Experience managing onboarding of renewable energy projects and multiple projects simultaneously.

• Comfortable working with internal platforms for certificate management and trading.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills, able to liaise effectively with project owners, registries, and internal stakeholders.

• Proactive, detail-oriented, and organized, focused on delivering reliable I-REC supply and commercial outcomes.
