Job description
We’re looking for a Legal Advisor to join our Legal team, someone who combines strong commercial legal expertise with the ability to support fast-moving trading operations in an international environment.
GO2 Markets connects buyers and sellers worldwide to facilitate the trading of environmental products and provides advisory services to help organizations develop and implement sustainability strategies.
In this role, you will take ownership of drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements across our Markets business, with a strong focus on Spanish-speaking clients and the Spanish market. You will also act as a trusted legal partner to commercial, operational, and corporate teams, ensuring compliance, mitigating risk, and enabling business growth.
As part of a small and highly collaborative Legal team, you will play a key role in supporting the expansion of our renewable energy and climate commodity activities across EU and US markets.
Full-time, on-site role in Berlin (hybrid), starting as soon as possible.
Job requirements
Your Mission
Own and manage the drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial contracts including sale and purchase agreements, brokerage agreements, NDAs, and service agreements
Support and develop legal templates and contract frameworks, with a focus on Spanish-speaking markets and Spanish-language documentation
Act as the main legal point of contact for the Spanish-speaking desk and support cross-border transactions
Provide legal guidance to commercial, operational, marketing, and people teams on matters including data protection, labor law, and corporate compliance
Ensure regulatory compliance and support risk mitigation across EU and US renewable energy and climate commodity markets
Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to environmental commodity trading (e.g. GoOs, RECs, Biomethane, Bio-LNG, Carbon markets)
Collaborate closely with commercial teams to structure transactions in a way that balances legal risk and business objectives
Contribute to key legal or cross-functional projects (e.g. platform initiatives, data protection programs, internal training/workshops)
Improve legal processes and contract workflows to increase efficiency and scalability across the business
What You Will Bring
2+ years of experience in a commercial legal role, ideally in a law firm or in-house environment (experience in energy/commodities is a plus)
Native-level Spanish is required; strong English is essential, German is a plus
Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial law, and corporate legal matters
Proven experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements with external stakeholders
Ability to work independently and manage multiple contracts and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong understanding of commercial realities and ability to balance legal risk with business needs
Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and prioritization skills
Familiarity with data protection and regulatory compliance is an advantage
Interest in renewable energy markets and climate commodities is highly valued
Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
